Welcome to Saager's Shoe Shop! We have been a family owned and operated full service shoe shop since 1914 located in Milton Freewater Oregon at the base of the Blue Mountains. Since the very first day, we have prided ourselves in providing not only the best shoes, but also the best service in the valley.Our employees know that our customers are looking for both comfort and style, and we offer an extensive collection of the finest comfort brands available.
In addition to serving our customers, we also service their shoes. For those of us who cannot bear to part with that favorite pair of shoes, our repair shop can help. All repairs are done with precision and care, continuing our nearly century long reputation.
Saager's Shoe Shop is a third generation family owned business. The store was first opened in 1914 by Grandpa Bill Saager and named "Freewater Electric Shoe Shop".
His son, Herb Saager, took over the store in 1955 and renamed it "Saager's Shoe Shop". During his ownership, the business expanded into the buildings next to it in order to accomodate the growing selection of shoes offered.
The business is now operated by Herb's son, Ron Saager. While still located on Main Street in Milton Freewater, the business serves customers from Idaho, Washington, and Oregon.
