Store Updates

Our staff will be training, cleaning and preparing the store during the coming days so we can be comfortable and confident in our new shopping environment and follow all guidelines. Tuesday 5/19 we will be opening the store to our customers! The initial hours while we all adjust will be Tuesday-Saturday 12pm-4pm. We will still be offering free local delivery for our customers who prefer that method during this time.
Our shopping environment will not be the same during this first phase of opening and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding while we relearn how to keep our customers and our staff safe during their in store shopping experience.

Here’s an update on what shopping in store will look like.

We will not be accepting new repair. Our staff and support team are working on a way to get this service back as soon as we possibly can. Current repair will be completed and our customers will be notified as soon as it’s done.
We are encouraged to use the curbside option and delivery whenever possible during this initial phase, we can process payments online or over the phone ahead of time and meet you curbside if you’re familiar with your brand and the shoes you’re needing.
All of our employees will be masked when interacting with customers. Hand washing and sanitation of all common areas and equipment will be done between every transaction.
All shoes and boxes touched during a transaction will be sanitized.
We will not have a fitting room or option to try on apparel in the store until more information is released about the proper procedures for this.
Our employees are required to maintain the minimum 6ft social distancing. This means we cannot measure you or help you try on shoes yet. We’re working very hard to build a solution for this and hoping to have it in place soon.
We ask that our customers do not pick up or touch any of the display shoes.
Hand sanitizing stations will be present throughout the store.
We will have to limit the number of customers and employees allowed in the store at one time.
We will have social distancing markers at the registers and ask that you please be mindful and follow all the recommendations to keep everyone involved safe.
Again, thank you for the support. This has been extremely challenging for our store and although the current guidelines will also prove to be a challenge we are grateful that we can open our store and see our wonderful customers and dear friends.
During these next few transition days, we will still be checking social media messages, phone messages and email.

Saager’s Shoe Shop will be closed and not holding scheduled in store hours as of 3/21/2020. This has been a very difficult time and an equally hard decision. Although we support and believe in these social distancing guidelines they have impacted our business tremendously and unfortunately it is no longer feasible to stay open.

We are not accepting any more repair during this closure.

Our online store is still open and operating. We have added a great selection of our current spring inventory that is now eligible for free shipping or free local delivery. We also offer gift certificates that can be purchased online. You can use the gift certificates for online shopping or in store at a later time.

For our customers that have a completed repair or current special order, we will be notifying you when they are here or complete. If you would like your shoes during this closure we can talk about shipping, delivery or scheduled curb side pickup times.

Please keep our store, our employees, our community and all of the other small local businesses in your thoughts. We are hopeful this closure is brief and we will be reevaluating and updating as we go. We apologize for any inconvenience this is causing to our customers.

Dear customers,
I want to first thank you for the messages, emails and kind words concerning our decision to move to “curb side services”. I’d like to explain what this means for you as our customer and explain all the things we are still able to do for you.

1.) Shoe repair! We are able to still have our wonderful technician working here in his station to repair your shoes and other leather goods. You can call ahead to ask any questions you have about your repair before drop off, we will meet you outside the front door and take in your repair. If your shoes are finished during this time, we will call and if you decided you’d like to come and pick them up we can take your payment over the phone and when you arrive we will bring them out to you! 🚨 Please wait for a call saying your repairs are complete and ready to pick up. Our turn around time is about 4 weeks. We will call as soon as they are finished. 🚨

2.) Special orders! For customers with current special orders that are in and want to come and pick them up we can accept your payment over the phone or upon pick up and bring them out to you. For new special orders if you know the style and size you need, just give us a call and we will get the order placed immediately.

3.) In store stock options! If you know your size and the shoe you need, give us a call and we will let you know what color options we have available for immediate pick up. We are also wanting to offer a delivery options for our customers who are high risk. If you’d like this service please let us know, we will work on a delivery plan for our area. We are not able to accept returns during this time. Our return policy on new purchases will remain the same but we will not be accepting returns during the curb side services. The 30 day policy will be waived during this time. Please just do not wear the shoes outside. New condition shoes will be able to be returned or exchanged when we go back to normal business procedures.

4.) Virtual shopping assistance! If you have text or email available to you, the crew will send pictures and answer any questions you have about our new spring inventory both shoe and apparel. Again, no returns will be accepted during the curb side services.

5.) If you are needing shoe care, socks, shoe inserts, etc. Just give us a call. My crew is well versed and excited to be able to meet as many of our customers needs as we can right now.

6.) We have a fantastic selection of our brands online at www.saagershoeshop.com and we will be adding to them during this time. The website is open all the time and a great way to get your shopping fix at home. You can also purchase gift certificates online. We can ship or you can call to arrange pick up or delivery! Again, I appreciate every one of you. I appreciate my crew. Ron and I will continue to do everything we can for the community and our staff with safety for our entire community being our number one concern.
